Project Overview
In May 2025, Nautical Connect was appointed for the inspection and full technical assessment of MY V2V, previously known as Carinthia VI, a 71 metre Lürssen built in 1973, 912 GT, located at an Istanbul shipyard.
The scope included verification of flag documentation compliance, evaluation of seaworthiness and a comprehensive review of onboard systems in view of future operational and refit planning.
The mandate also contemplated the prospective collection and delivery of the yacht to Italy for refit, future operation and sale. This intended next phase ultimately did not proceed, as the sale was not finalised.
Project Management
The assignment was managed with a clear objective, identify the vessel’s technical status, define the most appropriate strategy and provide a structured operational framework.
Through detailed onboard inspection, documentation analysis and direct coordination with shipyard representatives, we delivered a technically grounded assessment designed to support informed ownership decisions.
Even though the transaction did not conclude, the project demonstrates Nautical Connect’s ability to operate on complex large yacht assets, perform in depth technical due diligence and define actionable pathways under international shipyard conditions.
